Book 1: "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" by Mark Manson

Mark Manson’s gem isn’t your typical self-help book filled with fluffy platitudes. Instead, it delivers raw, honest truths about living a fulfilling life by focusing on what truly matters and letting go of the rest.

Key Concepts:

  • Destigmatizing Life's Struggles: Manson emphasizes that life is riddled with challenges and that's perfectly okay. Embracing this reality can reduce unnecessary stress and anxiety.

  • Life is Truly Simple: At its core, life boils down to a few essential choices. Distilling your priorities and shedding superficial concerns leads to genuine contentment.

Benefits for Personal Development

Manson's no-nonsense approach equips you with practical strategies to streamline your life. By prioritizing what you care about most, you can achieve a more focused, fulfilling existence. Remember, you only have one life, so live it unapologetically.

I’ve said this once, but I’ll say it again: You don’t see animals wondering if there is a point in continuing to live or not. We as human beings do the absolute most when it comes to life. That’s why I wholeheartedly recommend that you read this book.

It’s a pretty easy read and doesn’t use too much jargon to get such a simple point across. This book truly changed my life and I bet it’ll change yours as well. You can find the book by following the link here

Yes, these are affiliate links (and I would make a commission off your purchase at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to you), but if you’re going to try the book out anyway you should definitely let your girl get some coins, too. By the way, I really appreciate you guys, even if you decide not to get the book using my link.

Book 2: "Broke Millennial: Stop Scraping by And Get Your Financial Life Together" by Erin Lowry

If finances are a source of stress for you, then Erin Lowry’s "Broke Millennial" is your guide to overcoming these financial fears. This book breaks down complex financial concepts into digestible, actionable steps that anyone-- yes, including you-- can follow.

And when I say actionable steps, I do mean easy-to-read charts that you can plug your information into to plan your future with. This book is truly jam-packed with REAL information about keeping your accounts in the green.

Key Concepts:

  • Understanding Budgeting and Finance: Lowry demystifies budgeting, saving, and investing. This approach makes topics like these accessible to everyone. And honestly, we love this!

  • Mindfulness in Finances: Being mindful about your spending and saving habits can significantly reduce financial anxiety. Also, talking about finance isn’t as hard as we make it out to be. Lowry proves this by providing realistic scenarios and how-to guides.

Benefits for Personal Development

Financial literacy is a cornerstone of personal development. Lowry’s practical advice helps reduce the stress and anxiety that often accompanies financial uncertainty. By developing a deeper awareness of your finances, you can take control of your financial future with confidence.

Let’s be honest, it’s a bit awkward to ask your significant other what their finances are. That’s why we (as people) end up unknowingly taking on our partner’s debts. Lowry’s book discusses this and more, which is the main reason why I am recommending this book to all of you.

The book is about destigmatizing the complications that come with finances and more! It’s great for both those who are new to adulthood and those who are well into adulthood. We’ve been fed a bunch of lies about finances and it’s time we learn how to really take control of our wallets.

If you’re interested in purchasing the book, you can follow the link here. It’s also worth noting that Erin Lowry has an entire series dedicated to overcoming financial fears, including one book about investing. If it’s worth it to you then definitely check them out, but you should first get started with this one.

Book 3: "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill’s classic has inspired generations to pursue success with a powerful, positive mindset. This book delves into the psychological principles that drive achievement and prosperity.

I’m sure you’ve seen this book being recommended to you in plenty of other places. I’m here to tell you that the hype is true! Don’t believe me? Keep reading and I’m sure you’ll be convinced.

Key Concepts:

  • Fixed vs. Growth Mindset: Hill explores how your mindset influences your ability to achieve your goals. A growth mindset fosters resilience and a passion for lifelong learning. It’s not the cliche mambo jumbo either.
Hill actually presents a no-BS tone throughout the book which is a breath of fresh air from the pushy influencer vibes you get today (e.g. Crypto scams).

  • Impact of Mindset on Achievement: Hill demonstrates that believing in your potential is the first step to realizing it. And he even presents this in a useful manner. Again, he steers clear of cliches.

Benefits for Personal Development

Hill’s strategies for fostering a growth mindset can be applied across various life areas, from career advancement to building meaningful relationships. Embracing these principles can lead to profound personal and professional growth.

You’ll find Hill’s case studies of real people whose stories you can still find today. He explains how they got their lives together and made millions and tells readers why they can too. Once you take a look at the book by following the link here, you’ll gain access to the very same tactics these millionaires used to achieve success.

Now Get to Self Growing!

Believing in yourself is the cornerstone of personal development. These three books provide invaluable insights and practical strategies to help you grow, both personally and professionally. So, dive in, explore these gems, and embark on your journey of self-growth. Your future self will thank you.

Oh, and don’t forget that even though everybody may not like me, they have no choice but to love me because I’ll always be there for them and accept them for who they are. Happy reading!
